Introduction
Outdoor photography isn’t created — it’s seized in the authenticity of the moment. The Pyrenees will always be my favorite terrain, yet powerful visual stories can arise wherever there’s light and a story to tell. Toulouse-based photographer, I approach outdoor photography through what I call a Filmic vision — finding scenes in real life, chasing the right light, and telling stories without staging them.
Contemporary Pyreneism
Henri Beraldi defined the ideal pyrénéiste as one who knows how to “climb, write, and feel.” Not simply to ascend, but to experience deeply — and then to transmit it. It is this vision of the mountains as a complete, contemplative, and deeply sensitive experience that I seek to extend through photography. Where Russell pursued a form of union with the massif, I search for light, composition, and the fleeting moment capable of carrying the emotion of a summit without betraying it. My Filmic approach to the Pyrenees is exactly that: becoming, in his own words, “the painter of a special nature.”
