You bonnie Scotland...
Scotland has always been a country close to my heart. With each journey, I find myself captivated by the grandeur of its landscapes and the raw power of its nature. In the Highlands, I lose myself among the towering mountains, peaceful lochs, and endless valleys, carved by centuries of history. Here, nature reigns supreme, untamed, and at every moment, it reminds us just how powerful and fragile it is all at once.
On the Isle of Skye, it’s the Cuillin range that particularly draws me in. These steep mountains, often shrouded in mist—what the Scots call "Scotch mist"—create an almost otherworldly atmosphere. I’ve watched these peaks become covered in snow within just a few hours, and seen the light shift throughout the day, from soft grays to unexpected golden hues. Every moment here is like a painting, an invitation to capture the fleeting beauty of the scene.
Everywhere I go, whether in the vast expanses of the Highlands or along the rugged coasts of Skye, I feel a unique, almost mystical tranquility. The mist clings to the hills, the mountains are cloaked in white, and a deep silence prevails, barely disturbed by the whisper of the wind.
This portfolio is my tribute to these wild and magical lands, where every glance reveals a new facet of Scotland’s beauty. Through my photos, I aim to share this ever-changing light, the raw power of nature, and the peace that only such untamed places can offer.
